The Genesis Commitment to Excellence

Don't believe us...Believe our auditors!

The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) No. 16, Service Organization Controls (SOC) examination is an internationally recognized auditing standard. SSAE 16 SOC is an in-depth, six-month procedural audit of controls over information technology, privacy, security, and related transactional processes of service organizations.

In today's global economy, service organizations must demonstrate that they have adequate controls and safeguards when they host or process data belonging to their customers. Additionally, the requirements of Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 make SSAE 16 SOC audit reports even more important to the process of reporting on the effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting.

As a service organization, Genesis is committed to excellence in everything we do. Each year we conduct an SSAE 16 SOC process control audit. SSAE 16 SOC examination should be included in every organization’s checklist when evaluating outsourced administrative vendors. In the wake of increasing investigations and regulatory oversight we believe this is a positive step to publicly demonstrating our commitment to excellence.

In addition to our own internal use, our customers may be able to leverage our SSAE 16 SOC auditor's report to help reduce their own external examination costs for service organization process control audits. SSAE 16 SOC examinations should be included in every organization’s checklist when evaluating outsourced administrative service vendors. We will gladly share our audit results with clients upon request.
